I lived in Austin for awhile and bought my mother a couple of vases from Wimberley. They actually specially made a couple of pieces in opposite color than what their line was. They made a red replacement in a series where there was only blue. The people working there were wonderful and accommodating and had no problems with my requests. Plus, if I could afford to buy one of everything they had in their gallery I would have. Awesome stuff. So cool looking and original. Plus, they avoid the one thing that is so easy to do when working with glass, being ostentatious. Go and visit these folks. I agree with everything you are saying.
