With the holidays arriving soon, we’re all scrambling to find the perfect gift for someone who is among our hard to buy for crowd. A great place to shop for that particular group is E-bay, and they boast some truly incredible Christmas gifts for the glass collector. I’ve been paying a little more attention to the offerings available there in recent days, with a view to purchasing what I want in plenty of time to have it shipped to me, and be able to ship it forward to another Christmas gift recipient. E-bay is a great deal like a giant yard sale, with spectacular bargains, as well as overpriced goods, and knowing what you’re looking for, as well as how much you are willing to pay, and what the goods you are buying are worth, will help you to use this fabulous tool to your advantage. One of my purchases was a vintage teapot, Limoges china, for the wonderful price of about 40 dollars USD. If you are careful in your selections, and take care to note the sellers ratings, you can find superb bargains there in your glass and antique glass purchases,. One of my best deals lately was a set of 6 vintage milk glass sherbert bowls that had no reserve set. I won the set of six for just a bit over ten dollars, and having them looked at by a professional collector found they were worth about 50-75 dollars for the set. Thats not a bad bargain and its certainly a good return for my money in a days time. Pay a visit to Ebay for your holiday glassware shopping, or even for your own collection. You’ll find limited edition plates, figurines by Armani and Royal Doulton as well as some M.I.Hummel plates and figures for some really good pricing. Pay attention to detail and to the listings in their entirety and you may walk away with a very good value for your money.. |
